Jill, Kyle & Emmaly’s friend contacted me to know if I had availability the second weekend of June because Matt wanted to propose to his girlfriend.
Jill went on to tell me what a beautiful pair they were, and that she wanted to gift them their engagement session. Since Kyle & Emmaly were coming from Ohio and hadn’t visited Pittsburgh before, I offered a couple of suggestions I thought could go great as their engagement location.
Once we had everything set up, I was in constant communication with Kyle to make sure everything went out smoothly.
The day of, I arrived half an hour earlier to The Grandview Overlook in Mt. Washington and waited for them. While they were in their way, I told Kyle to take his time and propose to her once he got comfortable. I know how nerve wracking that day can be for the groom to be!
As soon as they arrived, Kyle & I made eye contact, and I went and follow them discretely so Emmaly wouldn’t notice anything strange.
Soon after their arrival, Kyle got on one knee and proposed to Emmaly. With the sun high up in the sky, and a pleasant breeze these two got engaged!
After the proposal we did some official “just engaged” photos, and then we went to incline, which they had never been! So we were doing touristy things, while we celebrated their proposal.
We took more photos by the bridge, where Kyle & Emmaly danced, and we were pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous sunset in the most romantic city in western Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh!
